Hi guys! I'm in year 10 currently and have to decide on ATARs for the next two years. The subjects I have currently chosen but are not set in concrete are: -English Biology Human Biology -Philosophy -Mathematics Applications(lowest level Maths ATAR in WA) and Certificate III in Photography. Personally I very much dislike maths. I am okay at it considering I'm in the next class below the extension but still sometimes I struggle greatly with understanding some of the complex maths topics at the beginning and can become quite stressed trying to figure it out. I never find any entertainment or joy in any form of maths so I was thinking about just not even doing it next year as an ATAR. The areas that I'm looking at career wise all don't need a maths prerequisite( Primary School teaching, Law, Psychology, ect), and i feel I have all the maths skills I will ever need for the rest of my life already. I just don't know if it is an awfully good idea to choose that ATAR that i highly dislike, stress about and because of that put extra time into it and maybe not do so well while i could just put my time into another ATAR/subject that i enjoy and will excel in. But maths just seems to be one of those subjects that people just expect you to do so I'm worried that if I don't do it I may cut off some possible options for myself in the future. Please give me your thoughts and whether you are choosing/chose maths as an ATAR or not and how you are finding it!!! Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
